It's a real lillie - no fake flower, plastic or so. it was taken at night and i was experimenting with lightphotos.
Last year i bought my first slr camera and this been one of the first shots i took. i just looked at photos i shot last year and really wanted to share this. hope you like it.
i had this idea for a very long time to shoot this and never did...finally i made it happened (loooved it very much) but didn't wanna submit it, since i thought noone would like the piece (because it's "only" a flower - in the end i did). nowit turns out that actually many people appreciate the same thing i saw in my idea. the lighting and the "difference" to other flower shots. (i will make a full series with that kinda lighted flowers in a couple month and this was the first test shoot.i love it that much, because it was an idea i realized, finalized and which got appreciated and loved.) i love color and to play with color and in this piece the colors are just incredible.

Congratulations for the great work! This is so appealing visually, the colors are so strong and bright and make a nice contrast.
The composition and framing is very well thought, i like that the flower is in a non-symmetrical angle, and a bit to the right so that burst of yellow really pops and makes the attention go to the flower and we still can see a lot of detail in the center.
i like the way it's smooth rather than blurred, so we can see a lot of tones in the shadows and detail.
I read in the description you shot this at night and were experimenting with light and i think you have a great result, the only thing that is a bit distracting is that white spot in the center of the background that is to bright, probably is a light source, but even so, great great work
This is an extremely beautiful photo. I just bought my first slr and I am very much looking forward for when finals are over so I can have some time to use it.
